Identify by drag and drop on Mac

Drop any image into the Mac app and Klepto tells you what it is.

The Mac app has no camera. Instead, it identifies anything you can drag: a product photo from a web page, a picture from Photos, a file from Finder, an image someone sent you in Messages.

Steps

  1. Drag an image into the Klepto window. A blue outline shows it will accept the drop.
  2. Wait for the identification. A sheet appears with the best match and its details.

  1. Check it. If Klepto offers several candidates, pick the right one. Click Edit details to change anything.
  2. Click Add to Collection, or Add to Wishlist.

Tips

  • The dropped image is kept as the item’s photo.
  • Each identification counts toward the free tier’s monthly photo limit, the same as on iPhone.
  • If nothing matches, the sheet lets you type a name and category yourself.
