Wishlist: want it now, own it later
Track things you plan to buy, then promote them to your real collection when they arrive.
The Wishlist is a special category for things you don’t own yet. It doesn’t count toward your collection totals, but it lives right alongside everything else so you can look up prices, catalog info, and images.
Wishlist is easy on Mac
The fastest way to build a wishlist is to drag any image into the Klepto Mac window while you’re browsing.
- Find something you want online — eBay, an artist’s store, a hobby forum.
- Drag the product photo straight from Safari (or Finder, or Messages, or anywhere else) into Klepto.
- Klepto identifies the item and asks whether to add it to your Collection or your Wishlist.
- Pick Add to Wishlist.
No barcode, no scanning, no leaving the browser tab. Great for prep-shopping a whole page of finds in a couple of minutes.
Add something to the Wishlist on iPhone or iPad
- Scan or identify the item as normal.
- On the confirmation screen, tap Add to Wishlist instead of Add to Collection.
- The item lands under Wishlist with its intended category stashed in metadata.
Promote a wishlist item to owned
- Open the item from the Wishlist.
- Tap Move to Collection.
- It jumps back to its real category — LEGO, Funko, whatever it was originally identified as.
Tips
- Wishlist counts are excluded from “items in your collection” on the home screen.
- You can turn the Wishlist off in Settings if you don’t use it.
